Now that Carvin has started building the 115MB extension cabinet for use with the MB amps, not just the MB15, hopefully it's just a matter of time until they also build 110MB and 112MB extension cabs that match up with the MB10 and MB12, respectively.

In the meantime, I was wondering if anyone here on the Carvin forum is pairing the MB12 combo amp with the 112AG extension cab.

The dimensions of the cabs match up, with the MB112 being .5" shorter than the 112AG cabinet. Also, the 112AG is rated at 300 watts, so that also matches with the 250 watts at 4 ohms output of the MB12.

I use that cabinet for my keyboards, guitar synth, and modeler pedal.
Its a sweet full range cabinet. I've heard a lot of comments here about guys using the AG100D for bass. So I don't believe it would sound bad. Besides they really are inexpensive! I have also used the cabinets (I own 2) with my mixer to DJ a couple of parties, and as PA mains for a local blue grass band. They had standup bass, dobro, mandolin, banjo and vocals going through them. I was pretty amazed how clean it sounded. I figured that bass would rattle them off the stands but I didn't hear any issues.

Actually, the 115MB cabinet also matches up with the MB112 combo, size-wise, and might be the better bet. It'll be good to get some reviews from Carvin users who try this combination.

I wonder that too?

My first option was to add MB115 cab, but no neodymium version yet!

After long thinking, I'm considering 112 external cab too, ' cause don't need too wide tonal spectrum in the low end range! (I always play with PA support with 18" sub-woofers)

I think Carvin should offer MB112 cab in the same wide and depth dimensions like MB12 combo so they could match, ...of course with neodymium magnet 12" driver!

I'd go for one like that! Cool

I have a 112AG and have used it with my BX500. It works fine.
